The short version: your images are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We do not use cookies, accounts or advertising trackers.

Your files

When you use a tool on this site, your browser reads the file from your device, processes it in memory and offers the result as a download. The file's contents are not transmitted over the network. When you close or reload the page, everything the tool was holding is discarded by your browser.

This applies to images, PDFs, and to text you paste into the Base64 tools.

What is requested from other servers

Loading any web page involves requests to servers, which see your IP address and basic browser information, as with every website. For this site, those are:

• Our web host, which serves the pages and may keep standard access logs.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the heading typeface.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr, which supply the open-source code libraries some tools load when you use them, such as the PDF and HEIC readers. Only the library code is downloaded; nothing about your files is sent.

Cookies and tracking

The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, and you will be asked where the law requires consent.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, such as a map link in the EXIF viewer or a reference in an article. Those sites have their own privacy practices. The map link only includes the coordinates if you choose to click it.
