When JPG is the right call for vector art
For logos and diagrams, PNG is usually the better raster format: it keeps edges perfectly crisp and supports transparency. JPG makes sense when the destination demands it, such as some social media profile uploads, older document software, email signatures in certain clients, or print services that only take JPG.
Because JPG compression struggles with sharp edges and flat colour, the default quality here is 95%, higher than you would use for photos. It keeps lines clean with only a modest size increase.
Picking the background
An SVG with a transparent background needs a colour behind it once it becomes a JPG. White is the default. If the graphic will be placed on a coloured page, match that colour so there is no visible box around it.
