How to use it
- Choose a resolution: 150 DPI suits screens, 300 DPI suits printing.
- Leave Pages empty for all pages, or type a range such as
1-3, 7. - Drop in the PDF, then download the images as a zip.
Choosing the resolution
PDF pages do not have pixels, so the converter has to decide how many to use. The DPI setting controls that. An A4 page at 150 DPI becomes roughly 1240 × 1754 pixels, which reads comfortably on a screen and keeps files small. At 300 DPI it is about 2480 × 3508 pixels, suitable for printing or zooming into small text. Very large pages are capped at around 40 megapixels so phones do not run out of memory.
Why do it in the browser?
PDFs are where sensitive documents live: bank statements, payslips, contracts, medical letters, passports scanned for a rental application. Uploading them to an unknown server to get a JPG is a real risk. Here, the PDF is rendered by the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs, running inside this tab.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is best for pages that are mostly photos. For pages of text, charts and line drawings, PDF to PNG gives crisper lettering, and the files are often no bigger.

Questions people ask
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Type pages and ranges separated by commas, such as 2, 5-8. Leave the box empty for all pages.
Why is my PDF not opening?
It may be password-protected or damaged. Unlock it in a PDF reader first, then try again.
Will the images be high enough quality to print?
At 300 DPI, yes. That matches the usual standard for printed documents.
Can I get the text out of the PDF?
No. This makes pictures of the pages. To extract text, use a PDF reader’s copy or export feature.
