How to use it
- Type your watermark text and choose where it goes.
- Adjust size and opacity. The size is a percentage of each image, so it looks consistent across different photos.
- Add your images and download them.
Corner or tiled?
A small corner mark is polite and unobtrusive. It credits you when a photo is shared, but it is also easy to crop out. Use it for portfolios and social posts where the goal is attribution.
A tiled watermark repeats diagonally across the whole image. It is harder to remove and suits proofs sent to clients, rental listings you do not want copied, and documents such as ID scans where you want to state their purpose, like “For rental application only, June 2026”. That last habit is worth adopting whenever you send ID copies to anyone.
Making it readable on any photo
White text with a soft shadow is legible over most photographs, dark or light. For images with large white areas, switch to a dark colour. Around 50 to 70 percent opacity keeps the watermark clear without dominating the picture.
Because the size is set as a percentage of the image, a batch of photos at different resolutions gets watermarks that look the same size relative to each picture.
Questions people ask
Can someone remove my watermark?
A corner watermark can be cropped out, and determined people can paint out almost anything. Tiled watermarks are much harder to remove cleanly.
Can I add a logo image as a watermark?
This tool adds text. For a logo, you would need an image editor with layers.
Should I watermark copies of my ID?
It is a sensible precaution. A tiled watermark stating who the copy is for and the date makes it less useful if it leaks.
